Mrs. Schmidt graduated from the University of Chemical Technology in Sofia with a MSc. Eng. in Chemical Technology and earned a MSc in Environmental Protection and Sustainable Development from the Queens University of Belfast. Since 2005, she has also been a lead auditor for DQS, performing audits for quality, environment, sustainability, energy, and occupational health and safety. She has had extensive experience in chemical, metallurgical, oil and gas industries as an environmental, health, safety and quality auditor. She is one if the first auditors for GHG in accordance with ISO 14064.
Mrs. Schmidt first gained production and team-leading experience in an integrated steel mill. Since 2006, she has been working as the technical director of INNO-CON, where she has gained extensive experience in environmental protection, contaminated areas, environmental and energy management systems, as well as environmental compliance projects throughout Europe.
She is a licensed consultant in the field of emissions, water and waste.
